Chinese firm Sinohydro Corp Ltd has launched a public tender in search of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors for a 90-MW wind park off the coast of Tianjin.
By August 24, Sinohydro Renewable Energy Co Ltd will be accepting pre-qualification bids from companies or consortia interested in working on the project. The service scope of the EPC contract will cover designing and constructing the wind park, including its foundations, turbines and other equipment, as well as performing the relevant tests and advancing through commissioning.
The contract will involve work between October 31, 2016 and November 30, 2017, the company said in a press release on Thursday.
The Tianjin offshore wind park will be installed in the Baohai Gulf, near the Nangang Industrial Zone in the Binhai New Area district. It will be equipped with 18 units of 5-MW turbines.
Sinohydro is part of Chinese engineering and construction firm PowerChina, also known as Power Construction Corp of China. It recently completed a 100-MW intertidal offshore wind demonstration project near the coastline of Rudong county, Jiangxi province.
