 VSB Group, the specialist for renewable energies in Europe backed by Partners Group, is expanding its
footprint in Poland: VSB acquires 300-MW of projects in a milestone transaction for the Polish wind onshore market and for the corporate group.

The wind energy projects are located in the Wielkopolska Voivodeship and are at different stages of development. All parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price and planning details. 

Marko Lieske, Managing Director of VSB Holding GmbH, is pleased about the successful transaction: “Poland has enormous potential for the expansion of wind and solar. We believe that now is the right time to invest into this high growth market. Together with Partners Group, we are accelerating our activities in the region.”

VSB has operated in Wrocław since 2008, having already commissioned around 76 MW in Poland, and manages over 300 MW of wind assets. This includes the Taczalin wind farm, which supplies 45.1 MW of green electricity to the Mercedes-Benz plant in Jawor (Lower Silesian Voivodeship). The power purchase agreement (PPA) for this was concluded in the summer of 2018.
