The French Energiequelle subsidiary P&T Technologie and WindStrom France commissioned a windfarm with three Nordex turbines in Bourbriac (northwest of Brittany). The turbines N117 have a 3 MW output and will be able to supply approximately 6,000 households in the near future.

The project was jointly developed with WindStrom France. It received approval in July 2019. P&T Technologie began construction in May 2021. The electricity generated will be remunerated at 7.2 cents per kWh. This has been guaranteed for 20 years. Estimated annual yield: 32 Million kWh.

Pierre Duchalais, who managed the project for Energiequelle, is proud to have overseen its successful execution: “I’ve only been with Energiequelle for one year, and I’m very happy to have already led a windfarm to commissioning. This project was made possible by the valuable collaboration with WindStrom France, and my French colleagues from P&T”.

Uwe Schaum is the President of WindStrom France and is pleased with the commissioning. We were very grateful for the involvement of the community as well as local residents.

Energiequelle now has 238 MW of installed capacity in France thanks to Bourbriac. Two additional wind farms are currently under construction. WindStrom France will also operate two wind farms this year, and begin building another wind farm with its 225 kV substation.
