In a significant development for the renewable energy sector, KP Energy Limited has announced securing a substantial order for developing wind power projects with a combined capacity of 368.55 MW. This initiative comes as part of a larger wind-solar hybrid power project, in collaboration with Aditya Birla Renewables Subsidiary Limited and ABREL (RJ) Projects Limited. The announcement aligns with the regulatory requirements under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
The order splits between two major entities, with Aditya Birla Renewables Subsidiary Limited commissioning KP Energy for 185.85 MW, and ABREL (RJ) Projects Limited entrusting them with an additional 182.70 MW. The project’s focus is on developing the Balance of Plant for the wind power capacity and is set to rise in Gujarat. A notable aspect of the project is its connection to the Inter State Transmission System (ISTS) of the Central Transmission Utility (CTU), ensuring a wide-ranging impact.
Moreover, the project ambit includes the development of a 220KV transmission line to support an evacuation capacity of 673 MW, highlighting the project’s significant scale. KP Energy’s role extends beyond mere construction; it encompasses comprehensive Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) services. This includes handling land acquisition, design, manufacturing, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning for the balance of the plant. Additionally, KP Energy is tasked with navigating the approvals and permits required for the successful execution of the project.
This venture represents a significant step forward in augmenting India’s renewable energy infrastructure, with KP Energy at the helm of fostering sustainable and green energy solutions.
