In the presence of Roland Le Scure , Minister Delegate for Industry and Energy , EDF , through its subsidiary EDF Reno uvelables , E IH S. à.rl , a subsidiary of Enbridge Inc. , Canada Pension Plan ( CPP Investments ) , and Skyborn inaugurated the Fé camp offshore wind farm with a capacity of around 500 MW . Located between 13and24km from the coast , the park will contribute to supporting the energy transition objectives of France whichaims to achieve 33 % renewable energy in our energy mix by 2030 .

Since producing its first megawatt hours in July 2023, the Fécamp offshore wind farm has been progressively connected to the national grid, culminating in the installation of its 71st wind turbine. In the coming weeks, it will be able to supply low-carbon electricity to nearly 770,000 people, covering approximately 60% of the annual electricity consumption in the Seine-Maritime department. Throughout its three-year construction phase, the Fécamp offshore wind farm primarily relied on the regional infrastructure and expertise of Le Havre and Cherbourg for the construction of gravity foundations and wind turbines. Overall, the project mobilized around 3,000 jobs in the Normandy region and represents an investment of approximately 2 billion euros.

L uc Rémont ,Chairman and CEO of EDF , commented, “We are very proud to inaugurate the first offshore wind farm in Normandy less than two following the commissioning of the Saint – Nazaire offshore wind farm in Loire – Atlantique .I would like to warmly thank all the stakeholders in the Normandy territory for their support , all the EDF Renouvelables teams as well as those of our partners, Enbridge , CPP Investments and Skyborn for the work performed . This new low – carbon electricity production facility would not have been able to see the light of day without a close and permanent dialogue with elected officials and local authorities .itorials , environmental associations , fishermen , economic players and local residents . The development of offshore wind farms in Saint – Nazaire andFécamphas enabled the emergence of a new industrial sector in France , essential for developing wind farms . our projects in Calvados , Dunkerk and Manche Normandy.”

Matthew Akman , Executive Vice – President of Strategy and President of the Energy division at Enbridge Inc., noted,”The successful completion of the Fécamp offshore wind farm marks an important milestone for Enbridge and our project partners . Following the successful completion of Saint – Nazaire in 2022, En bridge continues to advance the development and construction of several offshore wind projects in France , notably thefloating wind link project Provence Grand La rge , as well as the offshore wind link projects inCal vados , Dunkirk and Normandy .These projects further illustrate our commitment to being a leader in the energy transition and to providing reliable , clean and safe energy for regeneration . gion. Thanks to our partners – EDF Renouvelables , CPP Investments and Skyborn – with whom we have contributed to collectively growing the offshore wind industry in France.”

Thomas Karst , Chief Executive Officer of Skyborn added,“ We are proud of all the work that has been done to realize the offshore wind farm . de Fé camp , in which Skyborn has been involved since 2007. The commissioning of this project is an important step for the energy transition in France and Europe . We would like to warmly thank our partners on this project , E DF Renouvelables , who led the execution and brought the project to completion , and Enbridge and CPP Investments for their collaboration all these years
