NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has issued an invitation for online bids from eligible bidders for the Balance of System Package for a 1000 MW ISTS-Connected Wind Energy Project in the Bellary region of Karnataka (Tranche-V). The bidding process follows a Single Stage Two Envelope system, comprising a Techno-Commercial Bid and a Price Bid.
The scope of work includes detailed design, engineering, micro-siting, manufacturing, supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and ensuring the guaranteed performance parameters for the wind farm. The project involves the installation starting from 33kV internal evacuation lines to the ISTS substation. The package excludes the supply, civil works, and installation of Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs), unit substation, and SCADA.
The contractor will also handle the acquisition of the required land, including roads, storage areas, and infrastructure development. Associated civil works such as internal roads, control room buildings, and water supply arrangements are included. Electrical works for grid interfacing and extension to the ISTS substation are also part of the package.
The wind project must support the installation of WTGs with sizes ranging from 3.0 MW upwards and be compatible with RLMM-listed machines. The contractor is responsible for securing all necessary statutory approvals and clearances and providing comprehensive operation and maintenance services for three years, including supply of mandatory spares.

The cost of bidding documents is INR 22,500. Financial requirements for bidders range from INR 57 Crore for capacities between 50 MW to 300 MW, and INR 19 Lakh per MW for capacities above 300 MW.
