GUVNL Tenders for 500 MW Wind Power Procurement with Greenshoe Option up to 500 MW through Competitive Bidding and E-Reverse Auction (Phase VIII)

Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) has announced its plan to procure up to 500 MW of wind power through a Competitive Bidding Process (Phase VIII). This initiative is part of GUVNL’s efforts to meet the Renewable Purchase Obligation (RPO) and future requirements of Discoms. Additionally, there is an option to procure an additional 500 MW of power under the ‘Greenshoe Option’.

Interested bidders must register by July 26, 2024, to participate in the pre-bid meeting scheduled for July 30, 2024, via video conferencing. Registered bidders will receive the video conferencing link via the email address provided during registration.

Key deadlines include the online submission of responses to the Request for Selection (RfS) and the physical submission of all required documents by August 12, 2024, at 17:00 hours for the online submission, and August 14, 2024, at 17:00 hours for the offline submission at the GUVNL office in Vadodara. The technical bid opening is set for August 16, 2024, at 11:30 hours.

The cost of the RfS document is Rs. 25,000 plus 18% GST, and the non-refundable processing fee is Rs. 3 lakhs plus 18% GST, both to be paid electronically via NEFT/RTGS. Additionally, an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of Rs. 13 lakh per MW is required, to be submitted as a bank guarantee along with the RfS response.

This procurement initiative underscores GUVNL’s commitment to expanding its renewable energy portfolio and meeting the growing energy needs through sustainable sources.
