Iberdrola, through its UK renewable subsidiary ScottishPower Renewables, has appointed Taylor Woodrow to carry out preparatory civil engineering works for the onshore substation of the 960 MW East Anglia Two offshore wind farm. This North Sea project continues to drive economic growth and strengthen the UK’s offshore wind value chain.
Taylor Woodrow will handle key tasks, including highway improvements and landscaping for the substation in Friston, Suffolk, creating around 80 jobs during the contract period. This agreement follows a series of significant supplier deals by ScottishPower Renewables, including a £1 billion (€1.2 billion) turbine supply contract for the 64 turbines awarded after the success of Allocation Round 6 in September.
