CESC has issued a Letter of Award (LoA) to Purvah Green Power, its subsidiary, for the development of a 150 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project. The award follows Purvah’s successful response to the Request for Selection (RFS) document issued by CESC, in line with the Ministry of Power’s guidelines for the tariff-based competitive bidding process for procurement of power from grid-connected wind-solar hybrid power projects.
This project, which includes the potential for an additional 150 MW under the Greenshoe option, is part of CESC’s efforts to expand its renewable energy capacity. It aligns with India’s growing push towards sustainable energy solutions and the government’s commitment to increasing the share of renewable energy in the power generation sector. The hybrid project is expected to play a key role in enhancing CESC’s clean energy portfolio.
