NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has issued a tender for the supply and installation of Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) for an Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) connected wind energy project in Solapur, Maharashtra. The project has a nominal capacity of 672 MW, involving the installation of 224 WTGs.
The bidding process will be conducted online, following a Single Stage Two Envelope system. This process involves a Techno-Commercial Bid (Envelope-I) and a Price Bid (Envelope-II).
The scope of work includes:
- Detailed design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of RLMM-listed wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a rating of 3.0 MW or above.
- Establishing guaranteed performance parameters for the entire wind power project.
- Design, engineering, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the unit substation (USS) associated with each WTG, including electrical works required for grid integration.
- Erection and installation works, including civil works like foundations for towers, WTGs, and associated USS, and control cabins.
- Ten (10) years of comprehensive operation and maintenance of the supplied system, including spare parts, consumables, and repairs/replacement of any defective equipment.
- Providing inputs for statutory approvals and clearances.
- Supply of mandatory spares.
NTPC REL intends to finance the project through its resources or borrowings.
The important dates for the tender process include the Period of Downloading of Bidding Documents: From 05.04.2025 to 16.04.2025 (till 17:00 HRS), the Pre-Bid Conference, and Last Date for receipt of queries from prospective Bidders: 17.04.2025, Last Date and Time for receipt of bids comprising both Techno-Commercial Bid and Price Bid: 07.05.2025 15:00:00 (IST), Date & Time of opening of Techno-Commercial Bid: 07.05.2025 15:30:00 (IST).
The cost of the bidding documents is ₹22,500/- (Indian Rupees Twenty-Two Thousand Five Hundred only). Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Security (Earnest Money Deposit or EMD) of ₹50,00,00,000/- (Indian Rupees Fifty Crore Only). The EMD must be submitted in a separate sealed envelope, or if submitted through electronic fund transfer (EFT), the proof of e-payment must be provided in a separate sealed envelope.
The tender mentions that a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) must be duly signed and submitted by the interested bidders.
