In a major development for India’s renewable energy sector, Inox Wind Ltd announced the execution of a 990 MW turnkey wind project awarded by Purvah Green Private Ltd — the largest wind order to date by an independent power producer (IPP) to any wind original equipment manufacturer (OEM) in the country.

The order is part of a larger 1,500 MW framework agreement signed between Inox Wind and Purvah Green, a subsidiary of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group’s CESC Ltd. The project is currently underway across key wind-rich states including Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh.

Inox Wind has received all advances pertaining to the project. The commissioning is scheduled to commence in phases beginning fiscal year 2026 (FY26).

“This is a milestone order for Inox Wind from an esteemed customer and we are confident of deepening our relationship further,” said Kailash Tarachandani, CEO of Inox Wind Group. He confirmed that execution of the entire 990 MW order is in full swing.
