Clearway Energy Group has entered into a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Microsoft for the 335 MW Mount Storm wind project in Grant County, West Virginia. The project will contribute to Microsoft’s carbon-free energy targets and broader sustainability efforts.
Valerie Wooley, Senior Vice President of Origination at Clearway, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting its role in advancing renewable energy and boosting local economic development.
The Mount Storm wind farm will utilize domestically manufactured equipment and bring substantial local benefits, including millions in tax revenue, hundreds of construction jobs, and support for community development initiatives.
