RWE Kicks Off 14.7 MW Wind Farm in Brittany, France

RWE inaugurated Beg Ar C’Hra wind farm, situated in Brittany, France. Lannion-Trégor semi-public company (SEM) co-developed the project with RWE. Construction commenced in 2023 and the project was commissioned in November 2024. The wind farm has four Nordex N117 turbines and a combined installed capacity of 14.7 megawatts (MW).

The Beg Ar C’Hra wind farm exemplifies partnership that offers mutual benefits by integrating the local environment and local stakeholders. The electricity generated will meet the annual needs of approximately 7,000 households. Katja Wünschel, CEO RWE Renewables Europe & Australia, said, “With the inauguration of the Beg Ar C’Hra wind farm, RWE reaches a milestone in its activities in Brittany and demonstrates its ability to deliver complex projects through a collaborative approach. This wind farm embodies our commitment to promoting an inclusive energy transition, integrated into its local environment and developed in partnership with local stakeholders.”
