The Coopesantos Wind Power Energy Storage System, jointly developed by SINEXCEL (300693.SZ) and Wasion Energy, has officially entered operation in Costa Rica. The commissioning ceremony, attended by local government officials, marks a major milestone in China–Costa Rica renewable energy cooperation and a key achievement for energy innovation in Central America.
As the first project in the region to feature SINEXCEL’s advanced 1250 kW Power Conversion System (PCS), the system is engineered to deliver high performance through three core strengths: intelligent control, robust safety, and environmental adaptability.
Intelligent Control
The PCS achieves over 99% efficiency in applications such as peak shaving, frequency regulation, and voltage support—enhancing overall grid stability and operational flexibility.
Robust Safety
Equipped with Virtual Synchronous Generator (VSG) grid-forming technology, the system enables black start capability and off-grid parallel operation, ensuring a reliable power supply even under extreme conditions.
Environmental Adaptability
Co-designed with Wasion Energy, the system incorporates enhanced resistance to seismic activity and humidity. It is specifically engineered to perform reliably in the high-temperature, high-humidity, and seismically active environment typical of Central America.
At a pre-commissioning technical seminar, the project received strong endorsements from Costa Rica’s national power authorities, energy experts, and international stakeholders—highlighting the global competitiveness of SINEXCEL’s storage technology.
This successful deployment represents a strategic entry into the Central American market for SINEXCEL and underscores the company’s commitment to accelerating the global energy transition.
