The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, through its Wind Energy Division, has issued a clarification related to the procedure for inclusion or updating of wind turbine models in the Revised List of Models and Manufacturers (RLMM). This follows the amendment that was released on July 31, 2025. The ministry has now directed that the type certificates of wind turbine models must be updated or revised in line with Clause 4(h) of the amendment within a period of three months from the date of issue.

In addition to this, the ministry has stated that a clarification issued by the concerned Type Certification Body, which specifies the location and address details of the components mentioned in Clause 4(h), will also be accepted for updating within the given time frame. This move is expected to streamline the process of maintaining accuracy in the official list of wind turbine models and ensure that certified details of turbine components remain transparent and traceable. The directive has been issued with the approval of the competent authority and is part of the government’s ongoing effort to strengthen regulatory processes in the renewable energy sector.
