The Nordex Group has secured a new order in Portugal for the supply and installation of 12 N163/5.X wind turbines, delivering a total capacity of 70.8 MW. The contract also includes a Premium Service agreement covering maintenance for the turbines over a 35-year period.

Turbine deliveries are expected to begin in mid-2026. The names of the customer and the wind farm location have not been disclosed.

This latest order reinforces Nordex’s growing presence in the Portuguese wind energy market. With this addition, the company has now sold and installed wind turbines with a combined capacity exceeding 550 MW in the country. The total includes an earlier order from April 2025 for two N175/6.X turbines, marking the first deployment of this latest Nordex turbine model in Portugal.

The order reflects continued momentum in Portugal’s renewable energy sector and Nordex’s commitment to supporting long-term wind power projects through both advanced turbine technology and comprehensive service agreements.
