Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a leading force in India’s green energy sector and a subsidiary of The Tata Power Company Limited, has entered into a contract with Suzlon Group for the supply of wind turbine generators totaling 838 MW. These turbines will be deployed across TPREL’s projects in multiple states, with completion planned over the coming years.
This collaboration strengthens TPREL’s role in India’s renewable energy transition and supports the nation’s goal of achieving 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030. It also underscores TPREL’s commitment to expanding wind-based clean energy projects that are reliable, dispatchable, and economically viable.
TPREL currently manages a wind energy portfolio exceeding 3.9 GW, with over 1 GW operational and the remainder under development across Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.
Under the agreement, Suzlon, a key player in renewable energy, will provide an end-to-end solution for these projects, leveraging its extensive wind energy expertise. This marks the third strategic partnership between TPREL and Suzlon, reflecting a decade-long collaborative relationship.
