TotalEnergies has finalized the sale of a 50% stake in a 270 MW wind and solar portfolio in France to funds managed by Eiffel Investment Group, valuing the portfolio at €265 million.

Despite the sale, TotalEnergies will retain the remaining 50% share and continue to operate the assets, while offtaking and marketing most of the power generated.

This move reflects TotalEnergies’ integrated power strategy, which combines renewables such as solar and wind with flexible assets like storage and gas-fired power plants to provide reliable, clean electricity. As part of this model, the company typically sells up to half of its renewable projects once they reach commercial operation, enabling it to capture value while reducing risk and supporting its goal of achieving 12% profitability in its Integrated Power business.
