RWE Wins Multiple Honors at RenewableUK Global Offshore Wind Awards 2025

The RenewableUK Global Offshore Wind Awards celebrate the people and companies driving innovation and leadership in the offshore wind sector and advancing the transition to net zero. The annual ceremony, held in London, brought together industry leaders and professionals to honour outstanding achievements across the renewable energy sector.

RWE received special recognition for the exceptional response of its Humber Gateway offshore team following the March 2025 North Sea oil tanker collision. The team supported emergency services in rescuing 36 crew members, demonstrating remarkable professionalism and compassion. Several RWE colleagues attended the event to accept the award and were met with a standing ovation.

RWE also received two additional awards:

  • Apprentice of the Year – Awarded to Aurelia Pearson, Health, Safety and Environmental Apprentice at Triton Knoll Offshore Wind Farm. This is Aurelia’s second major accolade in 2025, following her earlier win at the Humber Renewables Awards.
  • Power Through Collaboration: Pioneering Partnership Award – Jointly awarded to RWE and Siemens Gamesa for the UK’s first installation of recyclable wind turbine blades at RWE’s Sofia Offshore Wind Farm, currently under construction.
