ACME Solar Holdings Limited has commissioned an additional 16 MW of its 100 MW wind power project in Surendranagar, Gujarat, marking the second phase of progress after the initial 28 MW commissioned in October 2025. Officials from the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) and Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL) witnessed and confirmed the commissioning, with the formal certification expected soon.

With this milestone, the project’s operational capacity now stands at 44 MW, contributing to ACME Solar’s total operational renewable energy portfolio of 2,934 MW.

The project recently received an extension to its Scheduled Commercial Operation Date (SCOD) from the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC), after Force Majeure events under the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) were acknowledged. The revised SCOD is now 5 March 2026, while 44 MW has already been commissioned ahead of schedule across the first two phases.

Financed by the Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and executed through ACME’s in-house EPC team, the project utilizes SANY 4 MW wind turbines. Electricity generated will be supplied under a 25-year PPA between ACME Eco Clean and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).
