ENABL A/S has been awarded the “Company of the Year – Robotics & Automation” at RE Assets 2025, recognising its innovation-led contribution to advancing automation in wind turbine blade manufacturing through the development of the ENABL Mobile Robot (EMR).
The award acknowledges ENABL A/S’s design and manufacture of the EMR, a versatile and modular robotic solution engineered specifically for wind turbine blade manufacturing shop floors. The robot’s multi-functional capabilities—including sanding, painting, milling, non-destructive testing (NDT), and flash cutting—enable manufacturers to deploy a single automated platform for multiple critical processes.
ENABL’s modular approach allows the EMR to be easily configured for diverse tasks while maintaining a smaller operational footprint, making it well-suited for space-constrained production environments. By reducing dependence on manual labour and delivering consistent, high-quality finishes, the EMR significantly improves manufacturing efficiency, repeatability, and workplace safety.
The EMR has also demonstrated strong return on investment (ROI) for blade manufacturers by enhancing throughput, reducing rework, and standardising quality across production lines.
