Exus Renewables, a leading energy solutions provider, has announced the commercial operation of its Jastrowie (30MW) and Okonek (23MW) wind farms in Poland, bringing a combined capacity of 53MW online. The projects were partially enabled through Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with Amazon, supporting the e-commerce giant’s global decarbonisation initiatives.
Together, the two wind farms are expected to generate approximately 116GWh of clean electricity annually, contributing significantly to Poland’s ongoing energy transition. The commissioning of these assets reinforces Exus Renewables’ position as a key player in delivering corporate renewable energy solutions across Europe.
“After months of hard work, we’re delighted that the Jastrowie and Okonek wind farms are now officially operational,” said Pawel Szawlowski, Country Manager for Poland at Exus Renewables. “Exus is committed to decarbonising Europe’s economy and advancing renewable energy technologies. Through these PPAs, we will help accelerate Poland’s renewable energy transition, support the government’s 2030 clean energy targets, and contribute to Amazon’s decarbonisation efforts.”
Poland’s National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP) targets 56% of electricity generation from renewable sources by 2030, with wind energy playing a critical role. The newly commissioned wind farms are expected to be instrumental in helping the country meet these ambitious goals while promoting sustainable energy growth.
