Suzlon Energy has secured a third wind energy order of 204.75 MW from Jindal Green Wind 1, a subsidiary of Jindal Renewables, further advancing the Low CO₂ Steel revolution in India. This latest order marks Suzlon’s largest Commercial & Industrial (C&I) partnership, bringing the total cumulative capacity with Jindal Renewables to 907.20 MW.

Record-Breaking Growth in Suzlon’s Order Book

This new contract follows two previous orders from Jindal Renewables, totaling 702.45 MW, to supply wind energy for Jindal Steel’s plants in Chhattisgarh and Odisha. Currently, C&I customers account for 59% of Suzlon’s total order book, which has now reached 5.9 GW—the highest in the company’s history.

Deployment of Advanced Wind Turbine Technology

Under this latest agreement, Suzlon will supply 65 state‐of‐the‐art S144 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with Hybrid Lattice Towers (HLT), each with a capacity of 3.15 MW.

Supporting India’s Green Energy Transition

The energy generated from this project will be used for captive consumption in Jindal Steel’s plants in Chhattisgarh and Odisha, further strengthening their operational sustainability and contributing to India’s renewable energy goals.
