Inox Wind Limited (IWL), a leading provider of wind energy solutions in India, has secured a 60 MW order from Serentica Renewables, a prominent renewable energy company focused on the commercial and industrial (C&I) sector. The order is for the supply of 3 MW class wind turbines, which will be delivered by Inox Wind within the first half of the calendar year 2025. These turbines will be installed at a hybrid renewable energy project site that Serentica is developing in Karnataka.
In addition to supplying the turbines, Inox Wind will provide multi-year operations and maintenance (O&M) services after the turbines are commissioned. This contract is significant not only for its scale but also for its strategic importance in Inox Wind’s efforts to expand its footprint in the C&I sector. The power generated by the turbines will be supplied to Serentica’s partners, including the Vedanta Group, a key player in India’s industrial sector.
This deal marks a key milestone for Inox Wind, offering substantial future growth opportunities. As India’s C&I sector accelerates its transition to green energy, Inox Wind’s tailored wind energy solutions are becoming increasingly critical in meeting the demand for renewable energy. The partnership with Serentica aligns with the growing trend of decarbonizing energy-intensive industries and reflects the two companies’ commitment to a sustainable energy future.
Commenting on the order, Mr. Kailash Tarachandani, Group CEO of Inox Wind, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration with Serentica. He highlighted that the order would play a crucial role in supporting India’s C&I players in their transition to green energy. Tarachandani emphasized that Inox Wind’s specialized products and solutions for wind energy projects would be instrumental in advancing this shift toward renewable power. He added that Serentica’s large-scale renewable energy plans and Inox Wind’s expertise made this partnership a strong foundation for further growth.
Mr. Akshay Hiranandani, CEO of Serentica Renewables, also shared his thoughts on the collaboration. He reiterated Serentica’s commitment to decarbonizing energy-intensive industries and providing innovative, sustainable energy solutions. Hiranandani pointed out that this partnership with Inox Wind for the 60 MW wind project was a significant step in delivering green energy to Serentica’s industrial partners, including Vedanta. He emphasized that both companies are working towards setting new benchmarks in renewable energy generation, contributing to India’s broader goal of a sustainable energy future.
The partnership between Inox Wind and Serentica Renewables is a clear example of how the renewable energy sector is evolving in India, with a focus on large-scale projects and the increasing role of wind energy in powering industrial and commercial operations.
