Vestas to Construct 27 MW Wind Farm in Italy

Vestas received a 27-MW order from the Aquilonia wind park and Forenza wind park, which will be in the region of Campania and Basilicata in Italy. This order covers the supply and installation two V100-2.0 MW with 2.2 MW operational mode, and two V126-3.45 MW turbines. They will be delivered in 3.8 MW power optimised mode for the 12 MW Aquilonia windpark and four V126-3.45 MW turbines for the 15 MW Forenza wind farm.

IVPC Power 10 & IVPC Power 6 both part of the IVPC Group placed the order. The agreement also includes a 10-year Active Output Management (AOM 4000) service agreement to maintain the wind parks.

“We are proud to once again work with our long-term partner I.V.P.C. These two wind projects are a testament to Vestas’ reliability and its 2 MW and 4 MW platforms, which allow for solutions tailored to each project’s specific requirements.” Francesco Amati, Vestas Head for Italy, says that these wind parks will be an addition to the 5 GW of clean electricity already installed in Italy or under construction.

Delivery and commissioning of turbines are scheduled for the first quarter 2023.
