Sempra Infrastructure Selects Vestas for 319 MW Wind Farm Construction in Mexico

Sempra Infrastructure, a Sempra subsidiary, has placed a 319 MW order for the Cimarron wind farm in Tecate, Baja California, Mexico. This is the third phase of the Energia Sierra Juarez Wind Complex.

With a combined capacity of 582 MW, the project will feature 46 V163-4.5 MW turbines and 18 V162-6.2 MW turbines supplied and installed by Vestas. Additionally, Vestas will provide a 10-year service agreement (AOM 5000) to optimize energy production and ensure long-term operational stability for the wind farm.

Delivery of turbines is planned for Q4 of 2024, while commissioning is expected for Q4 of 2025.
