NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has invited competitive online bids for the supply and installation of Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) for a 600 MW wind power project in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. The project will comprise 200 WTGs and will be connected to the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS), supporting India’s efforts to expand its renewable energy capacity.

According to the tender, identified as IFB No. NRE-CS-5924-003(WTG)-9, the procurement will follow a domestic competitive bidding process under a Single Stage Two Envelope system. Bidders will submit their techno-commercial proposals in Envelope-I and price bids in Envelope-II. NTPC REL will finance the project package through a combination of internal resources and market borrowings.

The scope includes detailed engineering, manufacturing, supply, transportation, erection, testing and commissioning of ALMM-listed WTGs. Each turbine must have a minimum rated capacity of 3.0 MW. The selected contractor will also be responsible for performance guarantees, control panels, SCADA systems, Unit Substations (USS), civil foundations and other associated works required for grid integration.

A key requirement of the contract is a comprehensive 10-year operation and maintenance (O&M) period beginning from project commissioning. The O&M scope will include regular maintenance, repairs and the supply of mandatory spare parts to support reliable long-term operation of the wind project.

The tender document can be downloaded from August 19 to August 29, 2026, until 5:00 PM IST. The pre-bid conference and deadline for queries is scheduled for September 1, 2026. Bids must be submitted by September 15, 2026, at 3:00 PM IST, with the techno-commercial bids scheduled to open at 3:30 PM the same day.

NTPC REL has fixed an Earnest Money Deposit of ₹50 crore, while the bidding document is available free of cost. Performance security requirements will be governed by the detailed tender conditions.

Eligibility criteria require bidders to be manufacturers of MNRE-approved WTG models rated at least 3,000 kW and included in the latest ALMM (Wind) List before bid opening. Eligible Indian subsidiaries or holding companies of such manufacturers may also participate.
