Terra Clean Invites Bids For 200 MW ISTS-Connected Wind Project In Karnataka

Terra Clean Limited (TeCl) has invited bids for the development of an Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected wind energy project in Karnataka. The company has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) through an open domestic competitive bidding process for the engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and long-term maintenance of the project.

The proposed wind power project will have a base capacity of 200 MW (±2%). In addition, the tender includes a greenshoe option that allows TeCl to expand the project by another 100 MW (±2%), depending on its requirements. The project is planned near the Davanagere ISTS grid substation in Karnataka, enabling the generated renewable electricity to be connected directly to the national transmission network.

According to the tender conditions, the selected bidder will execute the project on a Lump Sum Turnkey (LSTK) basis. This means the successful developer will be responsible for the complete end-to-end development of the wind power plant, including design, engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning. Besides project execution, the contractor will also provide comprehensive Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services for 10 years after the project becomes operational.

TeCL has also announced the timeline for the bidding process. The last date to purchase tender documents is August 31, 2026, at 21:00 RTZ. Completed bids must be submitted by September 1, 2026, at 15:00 RTZ.

The tender reflects Terra Clean Limited’s continued focus on expanding renewable energy infrastructure in India. By developing a large-scale ISTS-connected wind project with long-term maintenance support, the company aims to strengthen clean power generation capacity while improving the supply of renewable electricity through the national grid. The project is expected to contribute to India’s ongoing transition toward a cleaner and more sustainable energy sector.
