Vestas has received a 51 MW order for an undisclosed project in Italy. The contract includes the supply and installation of eleven V136-4.2 MW wind turbines, ten of which will be delivered in 4.3 MW Optimised Power Mode, one V117-3.45 MW wind turbine, and a 15-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement.

This order showcases how the versatility of Vestas 4MW platform can help our customers optimise their business cases. It also reinforces Vestas’ leadership in the Italian market, where it has installed over 4.3 GW since 1991, accounting for a 40 percent market share.

“The variety and competitiveness of our 4MW platform portfolio allow us to meet the different needs of our customers in Italy and provide them with long-term business certainty”, says Vestas Vice President of Sales for Southern Europe and Turkey, Rainer Karan. Turbine delivery is planned for the third quarter of 2021, whilst commissioning is expected for the fourth quarter of the same year.
