NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has invited online bids for the supply and installation of Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) for a 600 MW Interstate Transmission System (ISTS)-connected wind power project in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. The project will comprise 200 wind turbine generators and will be awarded through a domestic competitive bidding process under a single-stage, two-envelope procedure.
The scope of work includes detailed design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) listed wind turbine generators. Each WTG must have a rated capacity of at least 3.0 MW. The selected contractor will also be responsible for control panels, SCADA software systems, unit substations associated with the turbines, and the required civil and electrical works for grid integration.
The contract will further include comprehensive operation and maintenance services for 10 years from the date of commissioning. The O&M scope will cover spare parts, repairs, maintenance activities, and assistance in obtaining statutory approvals.
NTPC REL has prescribed technical and financial eligibility requirements for bidders. Eligible bidders must be manufacturers of approved wind turbine generator models with a minimum rating of 3,000 kW on the latest official list available before the techno-commercial bid opening date. Indian subsidiaries, holding companies, or group companies of eligible manufacturers can also participate.
For financial qualification, bidders must have a positive net worth and meet the required average annual turnover criteria. The turnover requirement is calculated at ₹102.40 lakh per MW of quoted capacity, with the applicable capacity capped at 645 MW, based on the preceding three financial years.
The invitation for bids was issued on September 21, 2026. Tender documents can be downloaded until October 1, 2026, up to 17:00 IST. The pre-bid conference and clarification deadline is October 5, while bids must be submitted by October 19, 2026, at 15:00 IST. The techno-commercial bids will be opened the same day at 15:30 IST.
The bidding documents are available free of cost. Bidders must register through the ISN Electronic Tender Services portal and submit a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement to obtain downloading authorization.
The tender requires an Earnest Money Deposit of ₹50 crore. The detailed bidding document also contains the terms and conditions governing the Performance Bank Guarantee.
