Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited Announces Tender for 600 MW Wind Power Supply

Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited (AEML) has officially released a tender inviting bids for the supply of 600 megawatts (MW) of wind power from grid-connected projects. This initiative is part of a tariff-based competitive bidding strategy aimed at integrating more renewable energy into Mumbai’s power grid. The tender seeks to attract potential developers to contribute to the growing demand for clean and sustainable energy in the region, marking a significant step forward in AEML’s commitment to environmental sustainability and renewable energy adoption.

The tender documents is available for procurement from March 1, 2024, at 15:00 RTZ, with the window closing on April 2, 2024, at 15:30 RTZ. These documents can be acquired online with a fee set at 29,500 Indian Rupees for both domestic and international bidders.

An additional tender-processing fee of 354,000 Indian Rupees is required to be paid to the buyer organization. Furthermore, a bid security, or Earnest Money Deposit (EMD), of 12.64 Lakhs per MW per project, is mandatory for all participants. The pre-bid meeting, scheduled for March 14, 2024, at 15:00 RTZ, is optional for bidders.

The final date for bid submission is April 2, 2024, by 16:00 RTZ, and the tender opening event is set to take place on April 5, 2024, at 13:00 RTZ. All submissions and the tender opening will be conducted online. Additionally, a non-refundable ETS Bidding-Fee of 30,000 Indian Rupees, excluding Goods and Services Tax (GST), is applicable. This initiative marks a significant step towards India’s commitment to renewable energy and sustainability.
