NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has announced a tender for the supply and installation of wind turbine generators (WTG) for an Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) connected wind energy project. The project, located in Bellary, Karnataka, has a nominal capacity of 813 MW, involving the installation of 271 WTGs.
The tender is structured as a single-stage, two-envelope bidding process, with Envelope-I containing the Techno-Commercial Bid and Envelope-II containing the Price Bid.
The scope of work for this project includes a comprehensive range of activities:
- Detailed design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of RLMM-listed wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a rating of 3.0 MW or above.
- Establishing guaranteed performance parameters for the entire wind power project.
- Design, engineering, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the unit substation (USS) associated with each WTG, including electrical works for grid integration.
- Erection and installation works, including civil works like foundations for towers, WTGs, and associated USS, and control cabins.
- Comprehensive operation and maintenance of the supplied system for ten (10) years, including spare parts, consumables, and repairs/replacements.
- Providing inputs for statutory approvals and clearances.
- Supply of mandatory spares.
NTPC REL plans to finance the project through its own resources or borrowings. The important dates related to the tender such as the Period of Downloading of Bidding Documents: From 05.04.2025 to 15.04.2025 (till 17:00 HRS), Pre-Bid Conference, and Last Date for receipt of queries from prospective Bidders: 18.04.2025, Last Date and Time for receipt of bids: 08.05.2025 15:00:00 (IST), and Date & Time of opening of Techno-Commercial Bid: 08.05.2025 15:30:00 (IST)
The cost of bidding documents is ₹22,500. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security (Earnest Money Deposit or EMD) of ₹100,00,00,000. The bid security must be submitted in a separate sealed envelope, or proof of electronic transfer must be provided in a sealed envelope. It is also mentioned that the successful bidder will be required to submit a Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG).
