KP Energy Limited, a part of KP Group, has commissioned the first phase of a 50.4 MW wind power project developed for NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) in Gujarat, strengthening its presence in India’s utility-scale renewable energy sector.

The commissioned capacity includes 16 Suzlon-manufactured Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs), each with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW, installed at the Vanki site in Nakhatrana, Kutch, Gujarat.

The project achieved its Commercial Operation Date (COD) on July 8, 2026, at 00:00 hours, marking a key milestone in KP Energy’s renewable energy project portfolio. The company developed the project for NTPC Renewable Energy as part of its focus on delivering large-scale wind energy infrastructure with timely execution.

Dr. Faruk G. Patel, Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of KP Group, said the successful commissioning reflects the company’s commitment to developing reliable renewable energy infrastructure while supporting India’s clean energy transition goals.

The company said the project highlights its execution capabilities in utility-scale wind energy development and reinforces its role as a wind energy engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and operations and maintenance (O&M) solutions provider.
