Jindal India Renewable Energy (JIRE) has signed a Term Sheet with SANY Wind Energy India Ltd. for the supply of 160 MW of Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) to support the execution of its 150 MW Round-the-Clock (RTC) renewable energy project awarded by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). The project will be developed in Davanagere, Karnataka, and is designed to provide reliable renewable power through a hybrid energy configuration.

The RTC project will integrate wind, solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS) to deliver firm and dispatchable clean electricity, supporting India’s growing demand for round-the-clock renewable energy. The hybrid approach is expected to enhance grid reliability while contributing to the country’s renewable energy and decarbonisation objectives.

The agreement marks a significant milestone in the implementation of Jindal India Renewable Energy’s SECI-awarded project and strengthens SANY Wind Energy India’s presence in India’s utility-scale wind energy market. The collaboration also reinforces Jindal India Power’s strategy to expand its hybrid renewable energy portfolio as demand for RTC and integrated clean energy projects continues to grow.
