Gujarat 197.5 MW Wind Project – Sprng Energy Announces Partial Commissioning

Sprng Energy gladly announces the partial commissioning of its second project in the country post Rewa.

This is first wind project having a capacity of 197.5 MW for the organization and has been won under 500 MW phase I wind auction carried out by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited. The project is located in Jamjodhpur Taluka of Jamnagar district. This project holds the distinction of being the ONE with the lowest tariff of INR 2.43/kWh in the country among wind and solar projects.

Considering the challenges in execution of this project with one of higher rotor diameters of 131 m available in the country being installed, coordinated efforts from all stakeholders involved has ensured in achieving this milestone possible.

Sprng Energy is glad to partner with Envision Wind Power Technologies Private Limited who have done the entire project on turnkey basis and supplied 79 nos. of EN131-2.5 MW turbines. The clean and green electricity generated at such low tariff from this project is expected to benefit all stakeholders.

Sprng plans to bring the entire plant capacity online within timelines specified in tender keeping a strict tab on construction quality and budget.
