Vestas Receives Order to Constructs 39 MW Wind Farm in Italy

PLT engineering S.r.l. has placed a 39-MW order for Borgia’s wind park. It will be located in Calabria, Italy. The order covers the supply and installation seven V136-4.2MW wind turbines and two V117-4.2 MW wind turbines. All of them are delivered in 4.3MW Power Optimized Mode. For the maintenance of the windpark, the contract includes a 20 year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000), service agreement.

Delivery and commissioning of turbines are scheduled for the first half 2023.

This project will add to the more than 5.4 GW of wind turbines that Vestas has installed or are currently under construction in Italy.
