Vestas received a 40MW order from Eurowind Energy A/S (a long-term customer) for the Norre Okse So project in Northern Denmark.

This order covers the supply, installation and commissioning 11 V126-3.45MW turbines operating in 3.6MW mode. These will replace the existing legacy wind turbines. This order demonstrates how more efficient and new technology can replace older assets. It also makes it possible to make a strong business case for the repowering of aging wind farms.

An active output management 5000 of 20-year service agreement is included in the order.

Jens Rasmussen is the CEO of Eurowind Energy A/S. He stated: “We are pleased to build upon our extensive relationship with Vestas. The Norre Okse So Wind Farm will provide green power to 33.000 Danish homes and is a welcome contribution towards the green transition in Denmark’s energy system. We have had a very long and stable relationship with Vestas. We look forward to building Norre Okse so together”.
