Vestas to Establish 29 MW Wind Farm in Japan

Vestas secured a 29MW order from Shimizu Corporation to build Makikawa Masaki wind farm in Ehime prefecture. The project is owned by GF Corporation, JR East Energy Development Co., Ltd. and will include eight V105-3.45 MW turbines operating in 3.6 MW mode.

Vestas will also provide 20 years of Active Output Management 5000 service (AOM 5000), which provides an energy-based availability guarantee that ensures optimal performance and long-term business certainty for customers.

The Makikawa Masaki Wind Farm will receive its turbines in the first quarter 2025. Commissioning is scheduled for the fourth-quarter of 2025.
