Vestas Secures 130 MW Wind Turbine Order from Vibrant Energy in India

Vestas, a Danish wind turbine manufacturer, and Vibrant Energy, an Indian renewable energy company, have signed a deal for two wind projects in India. The agreement involves Vestas supplying and overseeing the installation of 36 V155-3.6 MW turbines in India.

This is the second order Vestas has received from Vibrant in India in less than a year. The order, worth 130 MW, will enable Vibrant Energy to enhance its product offering for wind-solar hybrid power projects for corporate customers.

Srini Viswanathan, CEO of Vibrant Energy, said that Vestas has been a critical partner in delivering their wind projects, and they are excited to expand this partnership further. He looks forward to working with Vestas in realizing their shared vision of a sustainable-energy driven future.

Delivery of the turbines is expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2023, while commissioning of all turbines is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2024.
