Vestas To Supply 130 MW Wind Turbines For India’s Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Projects

Vestas, a Danish wind turbine manufacturer, and Vibrant Energy, an Indian renewable energy firm, have agreed to collaborate on two wind projects in India. Vestas will supply and install 36 V155-3.6 MW turbines in India under the terms of the deal.

Vestas has won a second order from Vibrant in India in less than a year. The 130 MW purchase will allow Vibrant Energy to expand its product portfolio for wind-solar hybrid power projects for corporate clients.

According to Srini Viswanathan, CEO of Vibrant Energy, Vestas has been a vital partner in executing their wind projects, and they are pleased to expand this cooperation further. He is looking forward to collaborating with the company to realise their common vision of a future powered by renewable energy.

Purvin Patel, CEO and President of Vestas Asia Pacific, stated that the company has worked closely with Vibrant Energy over the last year and that he is optimistic that this second order will be another milestone in the two businesses’ long and mutually beneficial cooperation. He complimented Vibrant Energy for having faith in Vestas’ capacity to provide dependable and effective solutions.

Delivery of the turbines is planned to begin in the fourth quarter of 2023, with completion of all turbines by the second quarter of 2024. Tthe company has strengthened its position as a trustworthy and trusted partner in sustainable energy solutions in India with this order.
