Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is happy to inform that the Italian Embassy in Oslo utilised WFW Italy Managing Partner Eugenio Tranchino’s paper ‘Offshore wind overview: Italy’ as source material for its recently released Offshore Wind report.

The Italian Embassy in Oslo issued a study on its official website on March 29, 2023, to encourage collaboration between Italian and Norwegian enterprises in the offshore wind industry.

Eugenio’s study provides an overview of the Italian offshore wind sector, with an emphasis on regulatory and commercial challenges. It provides an overview of important market participants, port infrastructure, and existing wind projects, as well as possible risks and cooperation prospects for Italian and Norwegian enterprises working together. The study is currently one of the primary resources for market participants interested in investing in novel floating offshore wind technologies in Italy.

Eugenio delivered his study for the first time in February 2023 in Oslo at the Norwegian Embassy in Rome’s “The Italian Offshore Wind Market” workshop. The event was co-hosted by Norwegian Offshore Wind, Norway’s most representative offshore wind group, and Mainstream, a prominent renewable energy provider. Stefano Nicoletti, the Italian Ambassador to Norway, was one of the event’s speakers.
