NTPC REL Calls for Bids to Establish 110 MW Wind Energy Project in Gujarat

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has invited eligible bidders to submit online bids for the supply and installation of Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) for a Wind Energy Project in Gujarat. The project aims to establish a connected wind energy capacity of 110 MW at Khavda NTPC RE Park.

The scope of work includes detailed design, engineering, micro-siting, manufacturing, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of WTGs within the wind farm, with any rating of 2.7 MW or more. The project also involves establishing guaranteed performance parameters for the entire Wind Power Project through the installation of the offered WTGs, along with control panels and SCADA systems at NTPC REL Pooling Substations. Unit Sub-Stations (USS) associated with each WTG and electrical works required for grid integration will also be installed.

The project also encompasses civil works such as tower foundations, WTG and USS installations, and control cabins near tower bases if necessary. The successful bidder will be responsible for a ten-year comprehensive operation and maintenance of the supplied system.

The deadline for receipt of bids, comprising both the Techno-Commercial Bid and Price Bid, is September 7, 2023, at 15:00 IST. The opening of the Techno-Commercial Bid will take place on the same day at 15:30 IST. The cost of the bidding documents is INR 22,500, and all bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of INR 10,00,00,000.

Bidders must meet specific qualifications, including being a manufacturer of an approved WTG model of a minimum rating of 2700 kW listed in the Revised List of Models and Manufacturers issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). Alternatively, the bidder can be an Indian company registered in India, acting as a subsidiary, holding company, or group company of a firm that meets the aforementioned requirement. In the latter case, the bidder must submit a joint undertaking with the qualified firm.

To be eligible, the bidder’s average annual turnover should be at least INR 270 Crores for any three financial years out of the preceding five financial years, as of the date of the techno-commercial bid opening.
