Qualitas Energy, an international investment and management platform, has acquired 55 percent stake in the rights of a project for repowering a wind farm in Eastern Germany. Qualitas Energy has purchased the rights from the Danish renewable energy company European Energy.
Additionally, both parties have set up a joint development partnership for the repowering of the existing turbines.
The goal is to double capacity to over 60 MW, employing modern turbines to power 43,000 households—four times the current reach—while improving efficiency through fewer turbines. Speaking about the development, Johannes Overbeck, Head of Investments of Qualitas Energy Deutschland GmbH, said, “We are confident that our strategic partnership will make a significant contribution to the advancement of renewable energies. Backed by robust partnerships, we are expediting the energy transition through close and transparent collaboration with residents and communities, ensuring swift project completion.”
