Vestas has bagged a 63 MW order for a wind park in Italy. Scope of work includes supplying and installing 14 V150-4.5 MW wind turbines, along with providing services under a 10-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement.
Turbine delivery is slated for the first half of 2025 and commissioning is expected for the second half of the same year.
Bagging this order also strengthens Vestas’ stronghold in Italy’s wind energy sector where it has installed over 5.2 GW since 1991.
“This order showcases the suitability of our latest models for the Italian market. We expect to see Vestas’ 4 MW platform continue making a strong contribution to Italy’s energy transition over the coming years”, said Vestas General Manager Italy, Francesco Amati.
