Holmen Energi AB has called on Nordex Group for a 98 MW order in Sweden, inclusive of Premium Plus Service for 30 years. In summer 2025, the Nordex Group will deliver and erect 14 N163/6.X turbines for the Blisterliden wind farm in the Västerbotten county.

These turbines will be mounted on tubular steel towers with a hub height of 169 meters and will feature the Nordex Advanced Anti-Icing System to mitigate rotor blade icing. Additionally, the turbines will be supplied in the cold climate version.

The Holmen Group, a Swedish forestry industry corporation, is involved in wind farm and hydro power plant development and operation. The Blisterliden project is Holmen Group’s maiden collaboration with the Nordex Group.

Patxi Landa, CSO of the Nordex Group, said, “We look forward to Holmen’s first project with Nordex. The turbines’ anti-icing system and the cold-climate variant will ensure reliable electricity production despite the challenges posed by the harsh environmental conditions in the Swedish climate.”
