SJVN Limited has officially announced an invitation for bids to develop 600 MW of ISTS-connected wind power projects across India, through a tariff-based competitive bidding process. Selected developers will enter a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SJVN, underlining the terms of the Request for Selection (RfS) and the PPA itself. The initiative aims to procure wind energy, which will then be distributed to various state entities, the specifics of which will be disclosed in the future. SJVN reserves the right to change these entities at its discretion to facilitate the sale of energy from these projects.
The call for bids allows for multiple project submissions by a single bidder, given that each project boasts a minimum capacity of 50 MW. Financial obligations include a non-refundable RfS document fee of INR 29,500 (inclusive of GST), a bid processing fee of INR 15 lakh plus 18% GST for each project, and an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of INR 12.64 lakh per MW, per project, all payable through NEFT/RTGS transfer to SJVN.
Interested parties must submit their online bids by the 15th of May, 2024, before 6:00 PM, and follow up with the submission of hard copies by the 20th of May, 2024, at the same time. The technical bids will be opened on the 21st of May, 2024, at 3:00 PM, marking a significant step towards enhancing India’s wind energy capacity and its commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
