VSB, a prominent international developer in the fields of wind energy and photovoltaics, has recently extended its current syndicated loan agreement to a substantial EUR 160 million, overseen by Commerzbank AG. This extension, spanning approximately two and a half years, is earmarked for general corporate financing.

As the demand for renewable energy escalates across Europe, VSB Group is intensifying its investments correspondingly. To bolster its operations across nine European nations, the existing agreement has been not only prolonged but also expanded by an additional EUR 40 million, totaling EUR 160 million. The syndicate, spearheaded by Commerzbank, comprises longstanding financial partners at the Group level, alongside banks with established commitments at the project company level, specifically for the development of wind and photovoltaic parks.

“The syndicated loan creates flexibility and planning certainty to support VSB Group’s growth and internationalisation. We have enjoyed a long and trusting relationship with Commerzbank AG for many years. Under its leadership, we have now succeeded in optimising the financial framework for the coming years,” said Hartmut Lieder, CFO of VSB Group.
