Vestas has announced the successful closure of eight undisclosed onshore wind energy orders with wpd GmbH, a leading renewable energy developer and operator, in Germany. The agreements, finalized in the first quarter of 2025, collectively amount to a capacity of 154 MW.
The orders encompass a diverse range of turbine variants deployed across multiple federal states in Germany, reinforcing the significance of a strong partnership and a broad product portfolio to support the country’s onshore wind sector.
Nils de Baar, President of Vestas Northern & Central Europe, expressed gratitude for the long-term partnership with wpd and their mutual business operations, particularly in Germany. He highlighted wpd’s extensive experience and success as a developer in the country and emphasized Vestas’ pride in contributing to this success story.
