The Nordex Group, in partnership with Consolis, has officially inaugurated a new hybrid tower production facility in Riga, Latvia. The event welcomed approximately 100 guests, including representatives from local authorities, the energy industry, and key partners.
Opening remarks were delivered by Eduard van der Meer (CEO, Consolis Group), Esa Maki (Managing Director, Consolis Baltics), Vita Paulāne (Ropaži Municipality), Kasper Melnis (Minister for Climate and Energy), Jurgis Miezainis (Secretary, Ministry of Economics), Mārtiņš Čakste (Latvenergo), and Javier Álvarez (Vice President, Hybrid Towers, Nordex Group). Guests also participated in a guided tour of the facility, gaining insights into the production processes.
The upgraded Consolis precast factory in Riga has been adapted to manufacture keystones for the Laflora project—Latvia’s first hybrid tower wind farm. The 109 MW project will feature 16 N175/6.X turbines, each with a hub height of 179 meters.
This strategic investment aims to boost manufacturing efficiency, support regional clean energy demand, and generate skilled employment locally, underscoring Nordex’s commitment to sustainable development and industrial collaboration in the Baltics.
