HHWE and NMT-IRO Join Forces to Strengthen International Position of Dutch Wind Sector

Holland Home of Wind Energy (HHWE) will officially merge with NMT-IRO on 1 January 2026, following strong support from HHWE members during a recent extraordinary general meeting. The merger is a strategic move aimed at enhancing the national and international presence of the Dutch offshore wind sector.

Both organisations have been active in promoting the global ambitions of the Netherlands’ offshore energy industry. By combining their efforts, they will create a single, unified association that can better represent the sector’s interests at home and abroad.

The merger is seen as an important step toward increasing the visibility and impact of Dutch offshore wind expertise in the global market.

Jeroen de Graaf, Director of NMT-IRO, commented : “This merger creates a stronger, more unified representation of the Dutch offshore wind sector abroad. By combining our knowledge, networks and initiatives, we increase our impact and are better positioned to support the international growth ambitions of our members.”
